Dr Cannell discusses Vitamin D Day, November 2nd!
Vitamin D Day from Vitamin D Council on Vimeo.
good little video I was not aware of Vit D day but find it a good concept and plan to try sharing this video with my patients
Great video. Nice to see Dr. Cannell working so hard on our behalf. Keep on keeping on! I spread the message here in Toronto as much as I can.
Just would like to emphasize the efficiency of getting vitamin D from tanning beds.
There is a great scepticism, even among vitamin D experts, on the use of tanning beds for making vitamin D.
The scepticism probably comes from doubts about risks as communicated in the media.
Having researched the media’s misinterpretation of the risks involved with indoor tanning, I can assure you that they are grossly exaggerated.
In fact, even IARC (the International Agency for Research on Cancer) has in their Monograph 55 stated that “chronic (i.e. regular) sun-exposure reduce the risk of melanoma”!
Here is an excellent (if I may say so myself) advice on how to use indoor tanning for vitamin D
Our in-home vitamin D test kit is easy, affordable, and an accurate way to find out your Vitamin D status.
A new study suggests vitamin D may protect against UTIs among children by upregulating their own naturally occurring antimicrobial peptides.
