The AAAS is one of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world; they publish the highly respected journal, Science. The AAAS Annual Meeting is not just for scientists, indeed the AAS designed many of the talks and activities to attract and hold the interest of anyone interested in science.
Here is a list of just a few of the talks, symposia, workshops, seminars, field trips, and other activities:
The meeting will be held on the gorgeous campus of University of San Diego and inexpensive housing is available on campus (dorms). Registration fees for the meeting are also inexpensive, running between $40.00 and $120.00 for the entire meeting. Field Trips are extra and one-day registration is available.
Dr. Cannell will speak first at noon on Tuesday, June 14th. This talk is free and open to the public, requiring no registration. The next day, Dr. Cannell will speak for four hours at a morning Workshop, detailing his work with vitamin D and influenza, autism, and athletic performance. Dr. Cannell’s four-hour talk on vitamin D requires AAAS registration.
