I do not think it will change the effectiveness but swallow next time. Always take Vitamin D with food that has some fat in it for better absorption. DO make sure it is D3 and not D2. It is better for you to take Vitamin D on a daily basis rather than weekly. (A lot of doctors still prescribe once weekly but we have come a long way in our understanding of Vitamin D.) The equivalent would be 7-8000iu a day.
