I am going to do dark meditation retreats, meaning absolutely no light for weeks and eventually up to 3 months. My question is, that when deprived from all light, can the body handle more vitamin d3 or better put, should it have more such as 10,000 or more each day? Usually it is said that more than 10,000 or 40,000 the body will get vitamin D toxicity. But if the body is deprived of D then wouldn't the maximum dose be much higher. So how much should I take when in dark retreats.
