You do not really calculate magnesium per how much Vitamin D you take. At http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-and-other-vitamins-and-minerals/ it talks about magnesium. Woman should consume through diet and/or supplements about 500mg and men about 700mg. You would have to “google” what foods have magnesium and decide if there is enough in your diet alone.

Thank you for answering my questions so quickly. I’m definitely going to take your advice. I thought of one more question….can I open the capsules and add it to drinks, food, etc.?
