Hi, I've just done my test for vit d level and it's 13.50 ng/ml which I believe is very low. What is the daily dosage I need to take now and for how long cause I really don't know. I didn't even realised I could be vit d deficient. Thank you

Yes your Vitamin D level is very low. Here at the VDC we promote a minimum blood level of 50ng/ml.
I encourage you to read all the information under http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/. We recommend 5000iu a day and then retesting in about 3 months. If your level is not up to 50ng/ml you may need to take more. Unless you get more sun exposure you would need to take this amount all the time not stop once you reached the level. If you did not continue to take the Vitamin D, the levels will “plunge” again.
