Hi there – regarding the home blood spot tests for Vitamin D levels on this website (from Heartland Assays), are they 25(OH)D tests? Also, is it better to have blood drawn at a clinic to more accurately assess Vitamin D level? Many thanks

    Hi Peggy,

Yes, these in-home test kits do measure 25(OH)D levels.

Past research illustrates that the accuracy of a blood spot test and getting blood drawn at a clinic are similar. The main difference of our test kits is that you do not need to take a large blood sample and you can complete it and view your results all from home.

    Cheers,
    Jeff
