Just so you know, I am not a doctor or scientist. From what I know it is safe. (If it is safe for a transplant recipient, it must be safe for you.) Has anyone checked your Vitamin D levels? How often do you have to get those levels checked that you listed above?
The 5000iu we recommend should be safe. After 8 weeks it would be great to get your level checked.
I always encourage everyone to read http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-and-other-vitamins-and-minerals/. It is important. Vitamin D uses a lot of magnesium. SO make sure your diet had enough or take a supplement. If not the Vitamin D may cause “symptoms”!
