There is not enough evidence yet one way or the other. The very last study done showed that K1 can turn into K2 in the human body. So there is no “consensus” yet on if we need both.

Thank you for answering my questions so quickly. I’m definitely going to take your advice. I thought of one more question….can I open the capsules and add it to drinks, food, etc.?
