Sarah someone else just asked this question a little while ago. I figured the below was the easiest way for me to answer.
I think it would be best if you could read this first at https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/washing-away-vitamin-d/. I recommend both because the first one gives a lot of the “why” and the second one adds a couple of things to it.
Have you ever had your level checked or did you just assume you were getting enough sunshine?
