Beginning of December, my levels of Vitamin D were high 130. I stop staking Vitamin D3 (2000IU) and Calcium with D (600IU) at that time. I did have an infection at the time which was resolve with antibiotics. This week, I had my Vitamin D checked again which is still high 102. I live in the northeast of Massachusetts. I am not outside enough to make it high especially with the weather here in the winter. . I do have Graves disease and on Synthroid. I am still fatigued and not sleeping. Which specialist should I see?

I will need more information because something is not making sense.
First how were your levels checked? Did your doctor do them or did you get a test kit? If your doctor did them thru a lab was the correct test done? Sometimes they do the wrong test which is a 1.25OH instead of a 25OHD and it makes a big difference. The reason I am asking is that 2000 iu a day would not normally give you that high of a reading on a regular 25OHD test.
Did you have the fatigue and not sleeping before taking the 2000 iu of Vitamin D or did it start after?
Vitamin D falls under an Endocrinologist but it does not mean they are “up to date” with the most recent information and studies.
