Study finds large percentage of Dutch athletes vitamin D deficient

A recent study conducted by the Netherlands Olympic Committee found that 64% of Dutch athletes are considered to be vitamin D insufficient (< nmol/L, < 30 ng/ml). The researchers also found that daily supplementation of 2,200 IU vitamin D3 was more effective than lower doses in correcting vitamin D insufficiency.
