Reply To: Hello there, I am a 36 year old woman, 5’4” 125 lbs. for the last 10 years, my vitamin D levels have hovered between 6 and 12. My hip sockets pop and ache, my spine and ankle bones ache and my legs muscles are very weak. I spend most of my days outside, avoid coffee and tea, take a daily dose of 6,000 IU D3 (tried liquid drops, tablets, capsules, gel caps) and every few months get put on prescription D3 of 50,000 IU taken once a week. I also eat a diet full of dark leafy greens, fruits and kefir with d added. My levels never get above 16 and I feel horrible all the time. I am doing everything right, why do I still have adult Ricketts? It is causing me to be less active in my life due to the pain. My doctors are clueless. I test negative for celiac (blood test and bowel biopsy) help!
