Reply To: Hello. First of all I want to apologize for my bad English. I'm 31 and I first decided to test my D3 levels last year after reading some stuff about Vitamin D deficiency on the web. The lab results came 20ng/ml. I called my doctor and he told me that this is not a big concern and he gave me D3 drops to take orally. I did took my drops, but I didn't found any improvement and I stopped taking them after a couple of months.( later I understood that the dosage was so small considering my deficiency, probably 600 UI a day) Bad idea. Anyhow. I got married and decided to try for a kid with my wife. We tried for about a year before going to the doctors. I made a sperm analysis and the results were bad. I was eating good for the past year, I stopped alcohol, the cigarettes and the results came off bad. I was crushed. Anyway. My doctor told me that I have to check my D3 levels as new research found that D3 is very important for sperm quality. I told him that I did such a test last year and he told me to make another one and to supplement if the results are poor. I took another blood test today at licensed lab and the results are 11 ng/ml. Even worse than before. I'm very nervous about this. I'm suffering from anxiety for about 10 years, and have chronic back pain for about 2 years, my stomach is not well also. Could all these sufferings be from my D3 deficiency? I would like to ask you how to supplement, and at what dosage. I'm 31 male, pale skin, blue eyes, 185 lbs/84 kg. 11 ng/ml. I would like to up my levels to a healthy 45-50 at least. How much D3 a day and for how long should I take? Please help me, I've read so much bad things about this condition and I feel very depressed right now.
