Reply To: i read that high dose vitamin d increases requirements for vitamin k2 for some reason, I can't find source now, what is high dose in iu and how much more k2 do we need if any. Thanks in advance.
The National Academy of Sciences says an Adult male needs 120mcg a day of Vitamin K. If you add up what is in your diet and are getting enough then do not supplement. If there is not enough in your diet then you should supplement.
The point is whether you are taking 2000iu or 5000iu or 10,000iu, just make sure you are getting the 120mcg a day. Vitamin D does not increase the requirements, it needs Vitamin K as a cofactor.
