I have been taking 5000iu lately, but have heard that you may need vitamin k2 supplement at higher does. Just wondering if there are other vitamins/nutrients you need more of when taking this dose in a supplement?
My following answer has no scientific reasoning to it. Take it with a grain of salt so to speak.
Right now we do not know what your D level is. So on 5000iu you really should not be on the high side for your height and weight. But maybe you are and that is where the symptoms are from. More than likely maybe 5000iu is not enough for you but giving you 5000iu has started to correct some things that you never new you had any issues with. So in a sense maybe if you boost your intake a little, maybe things will “settle out”. If it makes things worse than stop. Maybe also you are the type of person that was great about having a regular “bed time” so you would get enough sleep. Maybe with the Vitamin D you can actually stay up longer, sleep less hours, but still wakeup refreshed/not tired. So maybe decreasing sleep hours would help!
