I have been taking 5000iu lately, but have heard that you may need vitamin k2 supplement at higher does. Just wondering if there are other vitamins/nutrients you need more of when taking this dose in a supplement?
No, 5000 IU of vitamin D by itself should not pose any harm. We believe that everyone should maintain healthy levels of all vitamins and minerals, but it is not required to take additional supplements with vitamin D. Vitamin D will still perform myriad functions in the body when taken by itself.
