Recent study finds low vitamin D levels linked to poor heart health

Researchers recently assessed the relationship between vitamin D levels and heart health in over 230,000 patients. They found that patients with vitamin D levels below 15 ng/ml were 35% more likely to experience a cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack, stroke or heart failure in the subsequent 3 years than those with higher vitamin D levels.
