Greetings, I was diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency some time ago but have had problems taking Vitamin D supplements. (My level was 23 ng./ml) The main issue is that I always have daytime sleepiness and fatigue (even on 400 i.u.). Sometimes, I also have muscle weakness. Does this sound like I'm still on too much of it? Thanks!

    First you should read http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-and-other-vitamins-and-minerals/.
The Vitamin D is probably giving/uncovering a magnesium deficiency. Most people do not get enough in their diets. So you should get a magnesium supplement. Do NOT get magnesium oxide any other kind will do. Vitamin D uses a lot of magnesium to process things. You may want to take the magnesium for several days first before trying to increase your Vitamin D intake. You may need to take several hundred mg’s/ I usually try and spread mine out between 2 or 3 meals. If you take too much magnesium the worse that can happen is you will get loose bowels and then you just need to take less.
If that does not help, let me know!
