New study finds vitamin D supplementation improves heart function

A five year study found those who took a daily dose of vitamin D3 experienced improved heart function in comparison to those who took a daily placebo.

    The study actually used 4,000 IU daily for 1 year, not five. Nice improvement in heart function however. Details at http://vitamindwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page_id=7426. that website includes meta-analysis showing prevention of treated heart failures with vitamin D.
