Low vitamin D levels may increase one’s risk for cardiac events

A new study has found that individuals with low levels of total vitamin D and bioavailable vitamin D were at a higher risk to experience stroke, heart failure, heart attack and cardiovascular death compared to people with high vitamin D levels.
