Latest research finds vitamin D may improve exercise performance and lower the risk of heart disease

A small study discovered that adults who supplemented with vitamin D for 2 weeks had lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels than those who were given placebo. In addition, those who received vitamin D supplementation increased their performance on a cycling test by 30%; whereas, those in the placebo group did not experience any significant improvement.

The Examiner reported on this study in a recent article.
