Large study confirms the cardiovascular safety of calcium and vitamin D supplementation

A study comprised of 502,664 men and women found no relationship between the use of calcium supplements and hospital admissions related to cardiovascular events. These results were similar for vitamin D and combination supplementation. These findings confirm that vitamin D and calcium supplementation do not increase the risk for cardiovascular events.

    This research does not appear to have been published anywhere. Until we know the dosages for calcium and vit D it seems to be of limited value.
