Help Support the Vitamin D Council

Posted on: July 23, 2014   by  John Cannell, MD

As some of you may know, the Vitamin D Council launched its 2014 fundraiser today aimed at raising $60,000 in thirty days.

As a nonprofit, we rely on community support and donations to keep our organization moving forward. It is this support that enables us to continue to educate the public on safe sun exposure, vitamin D supplementation, and evidence-based vitamin D research.

The community that we’ve built together has made it possible for information to reach millions of people and help the world better understand vitamin D.

Now, more than ever, health professionals are testing their patients for vitamin D deficiency, recognizing the health benefits of vitamin D, and recommending vitamin D to those who need it.

I can’t express my thanks enough for all our readers and community members that have made our organization possible. Together, we’ve accomplished a lot. But we still have a ways to go.

Donations and support are necessary for the Vitamin D Council to continue our mission and accomplish projects that will create new vitamin D-related services and programs.

Your donations will allow us to establish a network of health professionals who are knowledgeable about vitamin D and incorporate vitamin D supplementation in their practice. Your support will also help us to begin funding vitamin D research and increase our outreach by translating our website into other popular languages.

Donations will also be used to establish our first vitamin D wellness program in partnership with a local business or organization to supply vitamin D supplements to indoor workers. Eventually, we would like to partner and enact this program with organizations beyond our local community.

These projects will only be possible with your generous contributions. Your donations to the Vitamin D Council will help benefit countless individuals who could dramatically improve their health and well-being with accurate information regarding vitamin D.

If you have donated in the past, please accept my gratitude and know that I appreciate your continued support. If you have never donated, please consider doing so this year. The goals we’ve set out to achieve, if reached, will make a significant impact on the lives of many.

If you support the work and mission of the Vitamin D Council and would like us to carry on and expand our outreach to more people, please visit our pledge page and consider making as generous of a gift as you can.

Thank you for your consideration.

All my best,

John Cannell, MD,
Founder, Executive Director

I think it is very important for us to support the Vitamin D Council during this fund-raising campaign. Where else can we find up-to-date, accurate and unbiased information on vitamin D?

Dr. John Cannell and his staff do an excellent job on really a shoe-string budget.

I consider the Vitamin D Council to be the most impeccable nonprofit organization. But even the most impeccable nonprofit requires funds to survive.

    Please consider a membership today.

After all, we exist because we choose to belong. Without our support, we just wouldn’t be here.
