Sun tanning and showers? So we just learned of some disturbing news yesterday. We learned that if you get your Vitamin D by suntanning, that you must wait at least 2 hours after suntanning before showering, or else you are going to wash all the newly-generated Vitamin D right out of your body. Thoughts on the precise amount of time that we need to wait AFTER suntanning but BEFORE showering?

Sorry Scotty I am not sure you are going to like the answer.
I think it would be best if you could read this first at https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/washing-away-vitamin-d/. Then go here https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/newsletter-vitamin-d-questions-and-answers-2/ and scroll down to “Showering After Sunbathing”. I recommend both because the first one gives a lot of the “why” and the second one adds a couple of things to it.
So the next question would be, have you ever tested your levels in the middle of the summer or did you assume you were getting enough Vitamin D?

Thank you so much for both of those links! They were extremely helpful! Also, I have not had my blood tested since starting my daily sunbathing routine, so I will definitely do that. Thank you!
