VDC test kit slider
Hi, I am new to the forum but have a few questions. I am going to be 40 soon and a mother to two boys (1 and 3). I am nursing my 1 year old son. I have the Doctor's Best Vitamin D3 5000IU and Carlson Vitamin D 3 for my boys. I take 3 softgels. I drop one liquid (400 IU) on my nipple for my 1 year old son and I drop one liquid (1000IU) on my 3 years old son's tongue. Are those numbers correct? Let me know. Good day!

The VDC’s recommendation for infants and children is 1000iu for every 25 lbs of body weight. So your 3 year old is probably taking enough.
By my understanding you take 15,000iu a day. Your 1 year old gets 400iu plus your breast milk which should also contain Vitamin D since you are taking enough. He is probably getting enough under these circumstances.
