A plea from the Council’s newest Director of the Board

Posted on: December 31, 2012   by  Sadeq A. Quraishi, MD, MHA

Dear Council Supporters,

I’d like to introduce myself. I am Sadeq Quraishi, Assistant Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School, and an Intensive Care physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital. I am honored to be the newest member of the Board of Directors of the Vitamin D Council.

I joined the Board because I am fascinated by the incredible “real world” impact of something as simple as vitamin D. It is cheap, widely available, and also has the potential to impact the global burden of disease, as well as improve the well-being of people all across the world. There is one major problem, however: the public still has much to learn about vitamin D.

We’re here to help with this problem, and I know the Council – with the people we have in place – is up to the task. This was a great year and 2013 will be even better. But we need your help.

Please, consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Council today. With your kind support, the Council can continue to work on this public health crisis, and bring about better vitamin D awareness!

We need your giving hand today.

Best wishes,

Sadeq A. Quraishi, MD, MHA
