A recent systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) found that vitamin D supplementation did not significantly improve endothelial function (EF) overall.  However, vitamin D significantly improved EF in diabetic subjects, indicating that vitamin D may play a role in EF by modulating vascular function in those with adiposity and insulin resistance.
