When the council suggests maintaining a vitamin D level of at least 50 ng/ml and an optimum range : 50-80 ng/ml are they referring to Lab Corp Values (venous blood) or ZRT LAB & Heartland Assay values (capillary blood)? I have found that Lab Corp values are always higher by as much as 18 ng/ml?

    Hi Dr. Sperling,

Great question. We are referring to the ZRT lab & Heartland Assay values. Hope you’re doing well and enjoying your long bike rides!
