If you could tell me how much you weigh that would help me. The more you weigh, the more Vitamin D you may need to take. Will you be able to get your blood levels tested for Vitamin D or have you already?
Without the above information, I would do the following.
Read the following http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-and-other-vitamins-and-minerals/. These co-factors are very important and if you do not get enough magnesium in your diet, then Vitamin D may cause you side effects.
I would take 10,000 iu of Vitamin D3 (NOT D2) every day for eight weeks,
After that I would take 5000iu of Vitamin D3 everyday. (This 5000iu is based on an average weight person of 150lbs (68kg).
Unless you can get more sunshine, you need to take the 5000iu everyday forever or else you will end up deficient again.
Vitamin D should not cause you any symptoms, unless you are low in magnesium. So if it does then you need to write back and tell me. Vitamin D should only make you feel better.
If you have more questions, just ask!
