Tatiana Cannell, M.D., Associate Medical Director (Volunteer)

In 2003, Tatiana Cannell co-established the Vitamin D Council with John J. Cannell MD, her husband. Born in the Republic of Moldova, she graduated from the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University of Moldova with a MD diploma in General Medicine. She started her practice as an internist in the Department of Dialysis in the city hospital of Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Since 2003, she has actively been involved in the Vitamin D Council as a volunteer. She helped obtain and translate Russian and German scientific articles into English; visited medical conferences dedicated to vitamin D in the US and abroad; participated in making non-profit TV commercials to educate the general population about the problems connected with vitamin D deficiency; and served on the Board of Directors of the Vitamin D Council from 2003 until 2011.

As the volunteer Medical Director, Tatiana still advises the Vitamin D Council on medical matters.  Tatiana is a happy mother of two lovely, vitamin D sufficient daughters. She dedicates most of her free time to her children and family. She loves poetry, enjoys photography, traveling, yoga, and hiking along the beautiful Central Coast.
