Nonprofit things

Is the Vitamin D Council a 501(c)(3)?

Yes, it is. Here is our letter of determination. And yes, we were called the Cholecalciferol Council when we filed (we think the name Vitamin D Council is a little easier to follow these days). And yes, that means donations are tax-deductible!

May I see your tax returns?

Yes you may. As a nonprofit, our 990s are available to the public, but we have them right here for you.

How are you funded?

The Vitamin D Council relies on donations, donations and donations. These come from both individuals and sponsors.

Donations from individuals is our most important source of funding. Please see how you can contribute and help the Council here.

Sponsorship support comes from:

We appreciate our sponsors’ support and implore you to support them. In fact, 15% of proceeds from the sale of ZRT vitamin D tests go to the Vitamin D Council. We appreciate their support and your support in ordering vitamin D tests through ZRT.

We’d also like to thank past and current support from the organizations Vitamin D Society, Life Extension Foundation and Heartland Assays.

How can I help the Vitamin D Council?

You can help the Council by…

  • Becoming a member
  • Donating to the Council
  • Volunteering or fundraising for the Council

See our Support us page for more information. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Brant Cebulla. Thank you!
